Percival Mason Stone papers

1878-1961

Consists mostly of Stone's research files on the Castle Square Theatre of Boston, gathered from 1951 to 1960 while writing his "John Craig Players with Mary Young and their Outline History of the Famous Castle Square Theatre" including clippings, correspondence with former actors, photographs, and Stone's manuscript notes. Also includes a scrapbook compiled by J. A. Barker concerning Boston theater, 1878-1918, annotated by Stone; a group of short stories and essays written by Stone, 1932-1935; and a notebook of theatrical performance attended in Boston, 1903-1915.
